it takes more than 1200hp to "split" an LS7 block.
jaymieandrew855it takes more than 1200hp to “split” an LS7 block. i’m gonna throw the bullshit flag on that. and it had better damn well have good breaks. the rear rotors are basically off the Enzo.
it wouldnt be the horsepower that would split the LS7,
nick1108it wouldnt be the horsepower that would split the LS7, forced induction will. The LS7 has very thin cylinder walls and a very high compression not suitable at all for FI.
the problem they had wasnt "spliting" the block, it was
adamslurch71the problem they had wasnt “spliting” the block, it was blowing the heads off. I was a test driver for GM when this car was in the testing phase. it happend a few times, then they changed engines.
weight displacment is why it's desine is ment to domanate
sirlonghairweight displacment is why it’s desine is ment to domanate lamans then you can utalize the bow tie aftermarket & create monsters, the first tuneup at 100,000miles oil, gas, washer fluid is all you need, another reason for the transaxl heat dispersion(makes the engine last longer trannys get hot)you can use a lighter flyweal the drive shaft weight is used now tell me the monoleef shock is old teac I’ll give you 3 reasons it is better than coilovers nothing on this car is substandard most of all desine

With so much "down force" it will only slow the
stalker7d7With so much “down force” it will only slow the car down. Instead of adjusting the splitter to balance out the “down force” they just reinforced it with “metal” that will weigh it down some more.
They just added more to fix it instead of solving the problem. I wonder if this is their way to solve every problem they come across,
Knowing that they did it like that, I wonder how good a car it really is?
I dont think that it will hinder its "already massive
harlon2uI dont think that it will hinder its “already massive power”. To think that all the testing they put into this car that they would actually just “throw” something on it.
Maybe not. But the guy in the video sure
stalker7d7Maybe not. But the guy in the video sure made it sound that way.
And the “down force” is like the car being heavier. I don’t know how much extra weight it would be equivalent to, but still. Let’s just hope this guy(in the video) has no clue what he’s talking about.
He does act like a stats reader instead of hands-on.
harlon2uHe does act like a stats reader instead of hands-on. Kinda like an engineer that says it will work on paper LOL.
@stalker7d7 Hey Stalker, you're not an engineer. The spoiler on the
MrX8503@stalker7d7 Hey Stalker, you’re not an engineer.
The spoiler on the Viper ACR creates 1000lbs extra of downforce, you think that slowed the car down? No. The downforce is there to keep the car stable at high speeds.
Downforce counteracts the lift produced by the car. Lift
stalker7d7Downforce counteracts the lift produced by the car. Lift is bad when your trying to turn, because you have less traction. Downforce isn’t as important when your going straight. And it does slow the car down.
Focus on what I said, don’t try to make yourself look smart by stating a fact, and following it with a false bit of information, and trying to define what the downforce is for. Moron.
@stalker7d7 How else do you counteract lift? Magic? At high
MrX8503@stalker7d7 How else do you counteract lift? Magic? At high speeds you’re increasing wind resistance, friction, and lift. Everything that is necessary to keep that car stable slows it down, but it keeps your car on the road. Downforce isn’t important when you’re going straight? Yeah right dude, also I’m sure every Vette driver is going to only be driving straight.
I said it already and I’ll say it again, you are NOT an engineer for GM, so stop acting like you know whats best for the corvette.
Once again you failed to comprehend what I said.
stalker7d7Once again you failed to comprehend what I said. Please stop talking. You make my eyes itch.
Again, you are not an engineer, if you were and
MrX8503Again, you are not an engineer, if you were and are smarter than GM, then maybe you should apply
@stalker7d7 If downforce wasn't "as important when you're going in
donkeykong560@stalker7d7 If downforce wasn’t “as important when you’re going in a straight line” then why do 300+mph Top Fuel cars REQUIRE a HUGE wing if they ONLY drive straight and only for about 3 to 4 seconds…Hmmm….sure…downforce isn’t “that” inportant in a straight line…right
Wings? Wings are designed to give lift, and used
stalker7d7Wings? Wings are designed to give lift, and used on aircraft. I haven’t ever seen a car with a wing.
