It looked better than the 1968 coupe, the firsat year to have a similar body style. I wonder why they didn’t put this out instead. Or at least sometime in the early 1970s.

Lookup the manta ray, its like the mako shark but imo even cooler, I would die if I had either. I know someone who had a mkao shark 2, no im not lieing, sold it way back when.

Looks like GM should have been lookin’ at the Japs coming at us with all the imoprts instead of fuckin’ around with buttons and a ‘Vette that never got built. Hmmm

I heard a great story at Design Staff. Don’t know the how true it is, but it makes for great GM folklore. This show car was repainted several times, because it didn’t match a model shark that Mitchell had in his office. Mitchell complained that it wasn’t right after every repaint. Finally, out of frustration, the modelers painted the shark. Mitchell finally approved the paint. Classic.

What you’ll find is that with the exception of electronics, most everything has been tried before. Something always keeps it from catching on: either the timing for marketplace acceptance, economies of scale, or a great idea without the proper technology to make it reliable.
