I’m all for the Z06, but it IS 20k more than the elise. The exige S260 is a better competitor price wise, and has another 67 more HP added to the elise’s weak 190. This combined with the better aero of the exige would combine for a car that COULD compete with the Z06 in the straights.

The vette base can compare closely in price to the elise, but is slightly heavier and has 75 less HP, and won’t have the suspension or tire of the Z06…

How can you be sure of that!? Or if I know about brake efficiancy or not!?
I’m not a pro-racedriver no, I’m too young to be so, I’m still in my education.. but I woulden’t say that I’ve never raced competision wise, and I woulden’t say that I’ve never driven on race-courses ..!
But woulden’t you agree that “cold” brakes, brakes better than heated brakes?!

but the corvette has a nice interior with a bad ass stereo and a big trunk and over better everyday car. Thats were the extra 20k comes in…

And I agree, which is why I like both for their own reasons. The Elise dollar for dollar makes a better track car. It’ll cost you less money to race and you’ll get arguably MORE thrills out of it at the track. The vette makes a better real-world sports car. It’s kinda good everywhere, perfectly well rounded. But that also means it’s beatable in many areas by cars specialized for that purpose. Very few cars can compete with it’s balance of skills though.

Kid, breakes have an ideal temperature to best performance… not cold, not in flames…

Yo fuckface! It dosen’t mean that it’s a great idea to “heat up” your brakes!! The cooler the better! BECAUSE when things get’s heated up, molecules starts to move! And what you wan’t when braking is less movement! Therefore the cooler brakes, the better friction! So that’s why I think it’s stupid to heat up your breakes, they get too hot much faster if they’ve been “pre-heated”! Duhh..!! Basic psycics dumb ass!!

That is why you tap the brake before you actually start braking.. to get the brakes warmed up; obviously It is not good cold nor burning. You think physics but you who probably have not been on the tracks be trying to educate people.

Son, cold brakes catch very easily. The characteristics of this track require pre-heated brakes. If you think you’re smarter than a stock car racedriver, believe me, you’re not very smart…

Ok, so fair enough I’m a lotus fan boy, but still this vid compares a basic model lotus to a super car, you could afford a race version exige which could far more seriously challenge the V-06 (if not out- match it, yes thanks to the cornering mostly), and still save multiple 1000’s of American dollars on the price tag
