To build a Bently takes 600 hours of hand building. The Corvette is good and all. But to call it hand built is rubbish. The guys just fit finished pieces together. Its a conveyor belt production line just like your average BMW or Audi.

Why they hell do people watch a video about a corvette and anything else for that matter, only to bash it? Nowhere on the title does it say BMW or Bentley assembly line.

lets think for a second, you are on a corvette video complaining about dodge and ford cars, and complaining about the price of a corvette when the price of a ferrari or prosche is way higher for similar performance, not to mention repairs are 3x more expensive for a porsche, and u might as well buy a new car with a ferrari. and i dont know where you live but i wouldnt move into a house that cost 60-100k (corvette) wheras youd probably be alot more comfortable in a house 150-340k (porsche-lambo)

at what point is anything here handbuilt ? They say on this documentary that they spend 8 minutes on the conveyor belt. You clearly have never been to the Lamborghini, Ferrari, Koenigsegg or Lotus Factories. I have. There is a reason why the Corvette is alot cheaper than the other sportscars. They mass produce it and dont use expensive materials.

The fact that this is 50k and can be compared to some of the 150k + cars mentioned speak volumes about the Corvette does it not?

And be realistic, most of us will never be anywhere be close to owning a Lamborghini.

Im so tired of hearing how american cars are so good because they are cheaper than the truly good ones. Ok.. 40% of Lamborghinis and Ferraris are sold in USA. Why wont americans establish their own full price car brand. Its clear that when americans want to spend money, they chose european. Because in that quality, price and heritage bracket, USA offers no competition whatsoever.

Btw.. this Corvette is on a conveyorbelt for 8 minutes. How can they claim its handbuilt ?

hand built… im watching the robots build it and you claim its hand built. Its not different in any way to what BMW or Audi does. And I should know because I visit car factories. Lamborghini and Ferrari.. they do it properly. Hence the price of their performance cars.
