you would have to sacrifice a lewis hamilton or two
venomviper32you would have to sacrifice a lewis hamilton or two (or more) to actually push the limits of one on this track. it could take that corner coming up a 1:09 flat out at over 180 mph but with that nasty bump any slight over-corrections.. dead. same goes for the other high speed sections. the ride height would probably have to raised a lot to even have a car come back after the lap. bmw estimated a 5:30 is possible but the best time was 7:29 (slowed at straights and on lower grip tires).

THE GTR can beat the ZR1 but not as easy as before because Nissan has made retuning the engine more difficult to do. Your ignorance of the history of the GTR is blantant and amusing. Stock GTRs were never impressive until this one. It was always the aftermarket tuning that brought out their true potential. Both are amazing, but at least learn what a GTR is - a godlike touring car.

Im not denying that the new GTR is a badass machine. But it outweighs the ZR-1 by like 500lbs. Thats alot for cars of this caliber. Until Nissan gives the GTR more power and takes away alot of weight the GTR will always be that much behind the ZR-1. Also how is a ZR-1 a purpose built car? Its mostly meant to be a daily driver like all vettes

Can’t remember the last time I saw a Jag, Aston Martin, or Mini Cooper at the track. I can’ knock British engineering, but I don’t see the UL leading the world anywhere new. For that, leave it to the US.

oldskoolfool09no the radical sr8 definately holds the record for production cars, and the radical sr3 turbo is ahead of the acr viper too. so that puts u down to at least 3rd in the production car record at the ring. i doubt the US are going to be pushing boundaries tbh, i think that will be the japs if anybody. the US are only just starting to make some cars that actually handle good. the japs have been doing that for a while now
